As a dedicated pediatrician, Dr. Shailaja Prashanth finds solace and rejuvenation in her artistic pursuits. Her love for painting and various arts and crafts has been a lifelong companion, deeply influenced by her creatively gifted mother.
Despite the demanding schedule of medical school, Dr. Shailaja rekindled her passion for painting during her time working in the UK. This fervor for art blossomed even further upon her return to Mysore, where she immersed herself in learning traditional Indian art forms such as Mysore painting, Tanjore, Ganjifa, Kerala Mural, and Pattachitra.
Driven by a deep appreciation for cultural heritage, Dr. Shailaja is committed to preserving and promoting traditional and folk art, recognizing the need to keep these art forms alive, especially in urban areas where they are often overlooked.
